Girls Basketball:
After 11 days off, Flintridge Prep won is 11th consecutive game on Tuesday.
The Wolves started slowly and trailed La Canada, 8-4, after the first eight minutes.
But Flintridge Prep outscored the Spartans, 42-17, the rest of the way, and they cruised to a 46-25 victory at the La Canada New Year’s Ball.
Maddie Smith led the way with 18 points and five steals.
Akemi Fu chipped in with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Pressley Huie contributed nine points, five rebounds and five steals.
Malia Harney led the La Canada offense with eight points.
Jennifer Musso scored six points in the loss.
Up next: The Wolves will face Hart (10-4) tonight (Wednesday) at 7 at La Canada High School.
