Bonita Crushes Duarte, 87-40, on Thursday; Colton Perez Hit Two 3’s & Finished w/19 Points for Bearcats

Boys Basketball:

In its first game back from last week’s Hawaii trip, Bonita dominated visiting Duarte, 87-40, on Thursday evening.

The Bearcats enjoyed a 27-point lead at the half, and then, BHS went on a 31-16 run in the third period.

Bonita had 11 players that scored, and Colton Perez led the way with 19 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

Sean Shibasaki chipped in with nine points and Sam Kolody had eight.

In comparison, only three Falcons scored in the 47-point loss.

Daniel Espinoza led Duarte with 20 points, and Sebastian Lopez-Luna and Ike Devance contributed 12 points apiece.

Eight of Bonita’s 11 scorers hit one 3-pointer, and Hunter Smith joined Perez with two 3’s.

Josh Kim and James Kim scored seven points apiece, while Naasir Ainsworth and Smith finished with six points.
