Girls Basketball:
La Salle continued its torrid pace to start the 2023-24 season.
The Lancers cruised to a 56-36 victory over Sonora in the championship game of the Gary Houston Winter Classic.
La Salle is now 12-0 and they’ve outscored their opponents by a combined margin of 664-327.
Casey Higgins led the way with 16 points.
Kaden Cortes hit three 3-pointers and she contributed 15 points.
Audrey Chen was named tournament MVP, and she chipped in with 13 points.
Amiah Lewis paced the Sonora offense with 11 points, and Kiana Graham had nine.
Higgins and Cortes earned their spot on the all-tournament team.
