Boys Basketball:

GHS’ big three, which is made up of Colton Gray, Chris Lee and Benji Holt, played together this week for the first time all season.

And the result was a Glendora Tournament championship.

But it didn’t come easy.

GHS took a nine-point lead into the fourth quarter of Saturday’s title game.

To their credit, Bishop Amat outscored Glendora, 14-5, in the fourth period to force overtime.

But that’s when Colton Gray took over.

Gray scored seven of GHS’s nine points in overtime, and Glendora defeated the Lancers, 59-54.

Gray finished with a game-high 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Max Hilgenfeldt chipped in with 16 points, and he was named the tournament’s MVP.

Eliseo Chavez led Amat with 14 points.

Matt Rodriguez and Rayshaun White contributed 13 points apiece in Saturday’s loss.

Chris Lee completed his comeback week with nine points for the Tartans.

Elijah Regan earned his spot on the all-tournament team.

Up next: GHS will host Redlands East Valley on Friday at 6:30.
