Glendora Wins Kaiser Tournament After Saturday’s 53-51 Victory Over RCHS; Rylie Anderson Scored 25 Points for Tartans

Girls Basketball:

Glendora finished out a highly successful week with a Kaiser Tournament championship.

The Tartans edged Rancho Cucamonga, 53-51, in Saturday’s title game.

GHS narrowly outscored RCHS, 12-9, in the crucial fourth quarter.

Rylie Anderson was a beast with 25 points, and that included three 3-pointers.

Anderson scored nine fourth-quarter points to match the Cougars.

Brianna Gomez hit a pair of 3’s and finished with 11 points, and Addison Martin chipped in with eight points.

Nakia Perkins led Rancho Cucamonga with 13 points and Julissa Jefferson finished with 12 points for the Cougars.

Up next: RCHS and GHS will both be in action on Tuesday at the Covina Tournament.

The Cougars will face West Covina at 3:30, and the Tartans will battle Marshall Fundamental at 5.
