Boys Basketball:
Glendora had nine days off after going 2-3 at the season-opening Sunny Hills Tournament.
In Monday’s first round of the Gary Prestesater Classic, GHS dismantled Arroyo, 64-16, and evened their season record at 3-3.
The Tartans led 20-2 after the first period, and they took a 40-6 lead into the break.
Ian Wang led all scorers with 14 points.
Colton Gray contributed 11 points and eight rebounds.
Elijah Regan chipped in with 11 points.
Garrett Dykstra (7), Max Hilgenfeldt (6) and Chris Lee (5) combined for 18 points in Monday’s win.
Sebastian Demano dished out seven assists to go with three points.
Vince Montalbo provided three points, while Tanner Grable and Logan Green had two points apiece.
Up next: The Tartans battle Western Christian on Wednesday at SDHS.
The Lancers (6-2) edged Eagle Rock, 75-73, in overtime.
The tip is set for 3.
