Boys Basketball:
After eight days off, Ayala opened play at the Gary Prestesater Classic, also known as the San Dimas Tournament.
And the Bulldogs didn’t waste any time in putting Monrovia away early.
AHS led 30-10 after one quarter, and they took a 46-17 lead into the break.
After it was all said and done, Ayala claimed an 83-37 victory.
Christian Martinez and Brenden White led the way with 14 points apiece.
Jeremy Serrano contributed 11 points in Monday’s win.
Brian Salazar Jr., the star quarterback of the Monrovia football program, led all scorers with 17 points.
Jaydin Maddox chipped in with nine points or Ayala.
