Boys Water Polo:
What a historic week it has been for the Bonita High School boys water polo program.
Seven days after claiming a CIF-SS Division 4 championship, the Bearcats secured its first CIF Southern California Division 3 title.
And the Bearcats dominated throughout the playoffs.
On Saturday afternoon, BHS defeated Palisades, 10-5, at Mt. SAC.
Max Distaso led the way with four goals, and Jacob Carlson scored three times for the Bearcats.
Jeffrey Heaton added a pair of goals and Parker Montgomery had one.
Julian Falk had nine saves in goal for the Bearcats.
In state playoffs wins over Cleveland, Ayala and Palisades, BHS outscored their opponents by a combined margin of 43-15.
Bonita never scored less than 10 goals in each of their eight postseason games.
