Girls Basketball:
To say Thursday’s La Salle-Pioneer game was a mismatch would be quite the understatement.
The Lancers led 16-2 after the first quarter and cruised to a 60-22 victory.
La Salle had nine players score, while Pioneer going points from Daysia Almendarez (8), Leanne Castro (7) and Mia Avalos (7).
Four-year starter Audrey Chen led the Lancers with 15 points.
Emily Fong and Erica Fan scored 11 points apiece in Thursday’s win.
Fan hit two of La Salle’s five 3-pointers.
Casey Higgins chipped in with nine points and Kaden Cortes had five.
Up next: The Lancers take the short trip to Marshall Fundamental on Saturday at 3.
