Boys Basketball:
Ayala got out to a quick start and cruised to a 70-49 victory over Fullerton at the Rumble for Rosecrans Tournament.
The Bulldogs led 19-8 after the first quarter and 43-26 at the half, and they controlled the game throughout.
Josiah Yang’s 25 points was 10 more than anyone on either team.
Yang was 5-of-8 from 3-point land, had five rebounds and two assists.
Jaydin Maddox chipped in with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
Maddox also had six rebounds and five assists.
Christian Martinez had a team-high eight rebounds to go with 11 points.
Joshua Townsell finished with 10 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Isaiah Edwards led Fullerton with 15 points and Baylor Wilks had 11 in Wednesday’s loss.
Up next: The Bulldogs travel to Santa Fe High School on Friday at 5:30.
