Boys Water Polo:
Three days after securing a CIF-SS Division 4 championship, Bonita was back in the pool for the CIF State Division 3 playoffs.
The Bearcats made it a drama-free afternoon by getting out to an 8-1 lead in the first quarter, and cruising to a 16-8 victory.
Max Distaso led the way with six goals.
Jake Carlson chipped in with five goals.
Parker Montgomery, Jackson Dincin, Matt Humpert, Gary Watson and Giancarlo Garcia contributed one goal each in Tuesday’s win.
Julian Falk had five saves in goal in the first half, and Braydon Jimenez blocked five shots of his own in the second.
Up next: Bonita will meet up with Ayala on Friday in the So Cal Regional semifinal at 1:15.
The Bulldogs claimed a 13-9 victory over Granada Hills Charter.
