Mal Johnson Scored 21 Points for Villa Park in Tuesday’s 56-44 Victory Over Glendora at Sunny Hills Tournament

Boys Basketball:

Villa Park used 30-20 second-half advantage to defeat Glendora, 56-44, in Tuesday’s Sunny Hills Tournament.

For the second consecutive game, the Tartans were without two of their leaders, Chris Lee and Benji Holt, due to injury.

Mal Johnson had a game-high 21 points for the Spartans.

Colton Gray led GHS with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Garrett Dykstra chipped in with eight points and two rebounds.

Max Hilgenfeldt, Ian Wang and Sebastian Demano had six points apiece for the Tartans.

Jared Haggard and Tristan Griffin scored 11 points each in Tuesday’s win.

Up next: The Tartans face Arlington tonight (Wednesday) at 6:30.

The game will be played at Sunny Hills High School.
