Quotable:

Ayala coach, AJ Gracia: “I am so proud of the senior leadership of this team. We are a young team on the field, but we are led by great young men who set the example with actions. We have great senior leadership plus a talented sophomore and junior class, and it’s why we are league champs and going into playoffs with some momentum. We played a challenging schedule and had to learn from our losses early on, but I think we know who we are.

Marquis Monroe, Niko Partida, Jeremy Goble, Drew Amico, and Diego Eligio have had great senior years on the field and have left their legacy by winning the league title. Our coaching staff has done a great job developing our younger players. Coach Calderon has done a fantastic job with the defense which had only two returning starters from last year. Coach Parks, as always, developed a young offensive line into the dominant force they have become.

We are excited for the playoffs and healthy, which is always so important at this point in the year.”
