College Football:
Mt. SAC decimated their hosts from East Los Angeles College on Saturday night to remain unbeaten in 2023.
The Mounties had a 612-285 advantage in total offense, and they cruised to a 48-17 victory.
MSAC is now 7-0 overall, and 4-0 in National Central Conference games.
They led 42-3 before ELAC scored a pair of fourth-quarter TD’s.
Mt. SAC had 375 yards on the ground, as compared to just 77 for ELAC.
Nicholas Floyd carried the ball 17 times for 147 yards, and that included TD runs of 21 and 18 yards.
Devon Miles (7-for-80), Isaiah Dickerson (6-70 & one TD) and Samuel Green (4-45 & one TD) combined for 195 yards and two TD’s.
Sean Jastrab (8-of-11 for 119 yards & one TD) and Alex Flores (10-of-12 for 110 yards, one TD & one pick) shared the duties at quarterback.
Jastrab hit Jordan Williams on a 56-yard TD pass, and Flores hooked up with Dedrek Taylor-Akins on a 58-yard score.
Williams finished the night with six catches for 113 yards and the score.
ELAC’s Jeliun Carter completed 6-of-8 for 120 yards and two TD’s.
Carter and DeGabriel Floyd connected on TD hookups of 3 and 65 yards.
Floyd had six catches for 101 yards.
