Girls Volleyball:
San Dimas made history on Wednesday evening.
The Saints won their sixth-consecutive Valle Vista League championship.
And for first time in what is believed to be 13 years, SDHS didn’t drop a set in league matches.
San Dimas swept their host from Covina, 25-14, 25-17 and 25-16.
Asa Sangalang led the way with 13 kills.
Aydan Romero finished with 20 assists, five kills and two aces.
Priscilla Romero provided nine kills.
And Evelyn Kao chipped in with two blocks.
Sadly, the Saints lost Jayden Hanson, their leader in kills and assists to injury this week.
Up next: SDHS and the other VVL qualifiers will get their first-round playoff opponent on Saturday morning at 10.

Quotable:
San Dimas coach, Joe Hanson: “After losing our leader in kills and assists at the beginning of the week, the girls remained resilient in their desire to win league with a perfect record. They came together as a team and weathered a very close second set against Covina, but eventually pulled it out and went on to win the match 3-0, which capped a perfect run in the Valle Vista League.”
