The Bonita girls volleyball program had a very crucial and successful week.
On Monday, the Bearcats defeated visiting Ayala, 25-14, 21-25, 25-23 and 25-14.
Two days later, BHS fell behind two games to none at Claremont.
But they would rally to secure a five-set victory by scores of 23-25, 15-25, 25-17, 25-22 and 15-11.
Those two wins set up a regular season finale showdown at first-place Glendora on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bearcats enter that contest 8-1, and they sit one-game back of GHS in the Palomares League standings because of a Tartans’ sweep back on September 20th.
Sara Wilson played a large role in both wins.
The senior middle hitter finished the week with 20 kills, five blocks, three aces and seven digs.
Wilson vs Ayala: 11 kills, one block, one ace seven digs
Wilson vs Claremont: nine kills, four blocks and two aces.
