Boys Athlete of the Week:
After starting the season 0-2, the Arcadia football program has found its stride.
The Apaches have consecutive victories over Brea Olinda, Nordhoff and Morningside by a combined margin of 166-44.
More importantly, Arcadia’s fourth straight win was a 59-14 beatdown of visiting Burbank in the Pacific League opener for both programs.
And while everyone in an AHS uniform made critical contributions on Friday, a two-way starter named Mikal Reed had an outstanding night.
On the offensive side of the ball, Reed caught six passes for 189 yards.
That included TD receptions of 73, 40 and 37 yards from quarterback Keyon Mills.
On defense, the senior cornerback had six tackles and broke up three passes.
