Football:
The West Covina victory tour continued on Thursday night.
The Bulldogs cruised to a 41-0 victory over their visitors from Baldwin Park.
WCHS is now 6-1 and they’ve won five consecutive games.
Zander Requena had TD runs of 22 and 45 yards.
Requena had six carries for 102 yards.
Angel Murillo gained 39 yards on four carries, and that included a 15-yard TD run.
Ethan Mendez provided a 21-yard TD and 56 yards on eight carries.
Ezra Ortega totaled 83 yards on six carries and a 51-yard TD.
Chris Perez attempted just four passes and completed three.
Perez hit Daniel Carrillo on a 20-yard TD to close out the scoring for the Bulldogs.
Isaiah Ruiz finished with eight tackles, including three for-loss, and a sack.
Miles Reid had seven tackles, with two going for loss.
And Adrien Munoz tallied six tackles.
WCHS defensive lineman Nick Moore, Felipe Hernandez, Josiah Joseph and Brian Le all had four tackles apiece and four total for loss.
Gage Ballum had a solid game at corner with three passes defended and an acrobatic interception.
Up next: WCHS will take this week off and open San Antonio League play on Friday the 13th at Claremont High School.
