For the second consecutive week, a pair of undefeated area JC football programs will meet up on a Saturday night.

Last week, Mt. SAC snapped Citrus’ state-best 17-game win streak, 42-21, in Glendora.

Alex Flores tossed four TD passes, and the Mounties pulled away from the Owls.

This week, a pair of 4-0 programs with explosive offenses meet up in Rancho Cucamonga.

PCC (57) and Chaffey (50) combine to score 107 points per game and neither defense has to take a back seat to anyone.

The Panthers surrender an average of 16 points each week, while the Lancers give up 19.

PCC’s high-water mark offensively came in a week-two 70-13 victory at West LA.

Last Saturday, Chaffey put a 62-25 beatdown on the Cougars at LA Southwest College.

Neither program has been in danger of losing through week four.

The Lancers closest game was a 20-point victory in the season opener against Santa Ana, and the Panthers opened 2023 with a 25-point triumph over LA Valley.

Kekahi Graham and Dereun Dortch have been very effective at running the PCC and Chaffey offenses, respectively.

Graham has thrown for 989 yards and 16 TD’s, and Dortch has totaled 782 yards through the air and eight scores.

Dortch has a 5-2 advantage in rushing TD’s over his PCC counterpart.

The Lancers throw for 19 more yards per game, but the Panthers have a significant 266-156 edge on the ground.

Jayson Cortes anchors the Chaffey ground game with 491 yards and eight TD’s, while Isaac Glover leads PCC with 278 rushing yards and seven TD’s.

LaMonte Holmes and Drushun Phillips have combined for 18 catches for 355 yards and six TD’s for the Lancers.

Together, Chaffey’s Corey Cabriales and Dorion Livingston have 30 catches for 407 yards and six scores.

Defensively, the Panthers allow an average of 245 yards per game, as compared to 320 for the Lancers.

Seven Chaffey players have one interception apiece, while Idriq Carmichael (3) and Eli Mouton (2) have combined to pick five passes for the PCC defense.

The kickoff is set for 6 at Chaffey College.
