RHP Cruises to a 45-14 Victory at Francis Parker; Nate Curtis Had 82 Yards Rushing & Receiving in Saturday’s Win

Football:

The 242-mile roundtrip to La Jolla and back was a pleasant one for the Rio Hondo Prep football program.

RHP took a 35-point lead into the break at Francis Parker, and they cruised to a 45-14 victory on Saturday night.

As always, the key to victory for RHP is a dominant running game.

The Kares had a 275-16 advantage on the ground.

Nate Curtis carried the ball two times for 82 yards and a TD.

Noah Penunuri totaled 81 yards on five carries and one score.

Caeden Holcomb had six carries for 45 yards.

Alex Mustain completed 7-of-8 pass attempts for 126 yards and one TD.

Curtis had a game-high 82 yards receiving on three catches.

Tyler Dang caught two passes for 27 yards, including a TD.

Francis Parker’s Daniel Gilmor completed 12 of his 24 pass attempts for 174 yards and one score.

Kobi Oldenburg led the Lancers with three catches for 52 yards, and one TD.

Up next:  The Kares will host Poly on Saturday night at 7.

The Panthers (1-0) picked up a 26-17 victory over Hoover in their season opener.
