South Hills Clinches at Least a Share of Hacienda League Title; Huskies Trounce Rowland, 18-0, in Five Innings

After Wednesday’s 18-0 victory over Rowland in five innings, South Hills clinched at least a share of the Hacienda League championship.

But don’t think for a moment that last-place Rowland will shock the Huskies on Friday.

Sterling Patick went four scoreless innings and allowed one hit.

Patick didn’t issue a walk and registered seven strikeouts.

Joseph Moreno provided a scoreless and hitless inning in relief.

Moreno walked one and fanned one Rowland batter.

South Hills pounded three Rowland pitchers for 18 runs, 15 hits and four walks.

Steven Jimenez went 4-for-4 with two doubles, four RBIs, and scored a pair of runs.

Paul Vazquez singled, hit a three-run HR and finished with four RBIs.

Malaki Pelayo went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and three RBIs.

Matt Moreno walked, doubled, drove in two and scored a pair of runs.

Marcos Rosales singled, doubled and scored three runs.

Noah Malone walked, singled and scored three times.

Landon Hansen singled and scored.

Dom Prieto walked, singled and scored.

Gabe Martinez singled and scored.

Luke Bauer walked and scored two runs.
