Baseball:
PHS didn’t just shut out their rivals on Tuesday, they put the game to sleep early.
Pasadena scored two in the bottom of the first and got five more in the second in a 7-0 Pacific League victory over Muir.
Joe Bacon earned the win, going five scoreless and allowing four hits.
Bacon issued one walk and struck out six.
Adrian Oseguera provided two perfect innings in relief, including getting half of his six outs via strikeout.
Tarik Rice doubled, and Issac Rishwan and Owen Grice had one single apiece to account for the three Mustangs hits.
Miguel Castillo got roughed up for seven runs (four earned) on two hits and five walks over his 1 1/3 innings.
Bacon helped his own cause with a walk, double and two runs.
Charlie Ream singled and drove in two.
Marcus Gonzalez walked, singled, scored and had one RBI.
Baylin Brooks drew a pair of walks, scored twice and had an RBI.
Miguel Yepez walked and scored.
Rene Salas had two RBIs, Seldon Walker singled and Oseguera scored once.
