Baseball:
Los Osos senior Ayden Holker deserved a better fate.
But the game of baseball doesn’t have feelings.
Holker, a 6-foot-4 right-hander, went 7 2/3 innings, didn’t issue a walk and struck out 11 Chino Hills batters.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, though, Tyler Cristiano led off with a single.
Cristiano was bunted to second by Zane Poulter.
After Holker got Dillon Anderson to fly out to center, Cannon Billingsley singled in Cristiano for the walk-off, 1-0 victory in a Baseline League pitcher’s duel.
Colton Fox and Joel Gutierrez had the other two hits for the Huskies.
Aidan Langley went all eight innings to earn the win.
He surrendered four hits, walked one and struck out 12 LOHS batters to earn the win.
Of Langley’s 98 pitches, 66 were strikes.
Wyatt Mohler had half of the Grizzlies four hits, while Justin Yeutter and Ryan Anderson both singled on Monday.
