Girls Athlete of the Week:
The Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy softball program will enter the final week of the 2023 regular season on a seven-game win streak.
The Tologs went 4-0 this week, each of which were Sunshine League wins.
And they did so by a combined margin of 56-1.
Meaghan Coyle and Meghan Garrity played leading roles in wins over Marymount (15-0), Immaculate Heart (12-0), Marymount (19-0) and Immaculate Heart (10-1).
Coyle won all four games in the circle, and she allowed just one run in 21 innings.
She walked four and struck out 31 opposing batters.
At the plate, she collected two hits, a run and one RBI.
Garrity had a solid week at the plate.
She went 9-13, with three doubles, one triple, 10 runs and two RBIs.
Garrity finished her week strong, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs in a 10-1 victory over Immaculate Heart.
Up next: The Tologs need just one win on Monday, as they host the Notre Dame Academy to officially secure the Sunshine League championship.
They met up 27 days ago and FSHA defeated NDA, 30-1.
