Had someone told you about a month ago that Pasadena was going to make the playoffs, you might have wondered if they had just spent time smoking with Jeff Spicoli.

After starting Pacific League play 0-5, PHS now finds itself 6-6 after winning six of their last seven.

The Bulldogs picked up the two-game sweep of Glendale on Thursday, defeating the Nitros, 10-2, at PHS.

Charlie Ream went six innings to earn the win.

Ream allowed two runs on four hits.

He issued a pair of walks and struck out six Glendale batters.

Josh Hopkins singled and scored.

Jason Martinez doubled and had an RBI.

Erik Chavez and Joe Tapia had one hit apiece for the Nitros.

Jeremy Furhman got the loss.

Furhman went two innings and allowed nine runs (eight earned) on nine hits.

He walked five and did not register a strikeout.

Joe Bacon walked, doubled twice and scored a pair of runs.

Marcus Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with a walk and three runs.

Baylin Brooks singled, scored and had an RBI.

Adrian Oseguerra doubled and drove in a pair of runs.

Rene Salas walked and scored.

Ream helped his own cause with a single, run and RBI.

Kaleb Derosier went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Seldon Walker and Miguel Yepez walked, singled, scored and had one RBI apiece.

Up next: The Bulldogs host Muir on Tuesday in a two-game set with the Mustangs to close out the 2023 regular season.
