The Mustangs thumped their host from Hoover, 11-3, and out-hit the Tornadoes, 14-8.
Miguel Castillo went six innings and allowed three runs on seven hits.
He issued one walk and fanned four.
Bryant Soriano got the final three outs, including two via strikeout.
Gabriel Flores went 2-for-3, with a double and scored one run.
Owen Marks singled twice and had a pair of RBIs.
