On Tuesday, AHS claimed a 2-1 victory in eight innings at Burbank.
Ian Hoffstetter went 5 2/3 innings and allowed just one run on five hits.
He walked four and struck out seven Bulldogs.
Fernando Palencia provided 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief.
Panecia allowed one hit, didn’t issue a walk and fanned four.
Miklo Reyno singled, doubled and had Burbank’s lone RBI.
Julian Gonzalez had half of BHS’ six hits.
And Bryant Johnson walked and scored.
Colby Bette went 5 2/3 innings and allowed an unearned run on six hits.
Bette walked four and fanned four AHS batters.
Robert Snyder got the loss after surrendering one run on one hit and two walks.
In the top of the eighth inning, Jerry Carlos and Ben Cooper walk, and Evan Huang singles to load the bases.
And with one out, Palencia hits a sac fly that turns out to be the game winner.
Palencia went 2-for-4 with a double and both RBIs.
Carlos walked, singled and scored.
Isaiah Spencer, Avery Truesdale, Ben Cooper, Brayden Herrera and Christian Garcia singled for the Apaches.
Leo Peniche, Cooper and Herrera each drew two walks apiece.
