It seems like the road to a Pacific League championship includes a number of one-run wins for whomever claims that title.

Both first-place programs, Arcadia and Crescenta Valley, have multiple one-run victories, and both claimed 2-1 victories on Tuesday.

Arcadia edged Burbank 2-1, and CV followed suit with a 2-1 victory of their own.

The Falcons edged visiting Burroughs, on a walk-off hit from Dashiell Schultz.

Zack Freck went 6 2/3 innings for the Bears and allowed those two runs on six hits.

He issued four walks and fanned nine CV batters.

Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning, Jake Rendo was hit by pitch and Everett Pam and Brandon Kwon singled.

Jimmy Spears had an RBI ground out to tie the score at 1-1.

The game stayed that way until the bottom of the seventh, and Schultz came through with the two-out single to right center.

Rendo doubled for the game’s only extra-base hit.

Nico Terenzi was phenomenal.

Terenzi went the distance, allowing one run on one hit.

He didn’t issue a walk, hit three Burroughs batters and struck out six.

Jarrel Bijasa had the Bears lone hit and Nate Chapman scored in the second inning on a balk.

Up next: CV travels to Burroughs on Friday, as the Falcons ace, Connor Campbell, looks to extend his scoreless inning streak of 31 1/3 innings.
