Quotable:

Ayala coach, Brad McGuire: “Hats off to Charlie (Reynoso) and his club over at Claremont. We both have young clubs and to see both teams battle adversity was cool to be a part of. I’m just glad we came out on top. Giving up four in the seventh was tough, but Andrew Torres, who has been clutch for us all year, came up big with a two-out triple to tie it. Our pitcher, Cadin Gates, has really settled in and kept us in the ball game and giving us a chance to win. When we got to the bottom of the ninth, Erlandsen continued to do what he’s done all year getting on base with a big leadoff double, and we followed with a single by Ethan Nunez to win it. I’m glad Ethan was able to come through. He’s been put together some good at-bats that he hasn’t had much to show from,  so seeing him get this hit and win it for his team was awesome. To finish, I’m pulling a quote from one of our guys (Jedi Hernandez) who every time late in the game tells my assistant, ‘coach, we have a little magic left, just watch.”
