With four league games remaining, Bonita, Ayala and Glendora are in a three-way tie atop the Palomares League standings.
This past week, the Bearcats picked up a two-game sweep over Claremont.
In Thursday’s 7-0 victory over the Wolfpack, Garrett Patterson threw a no-hitter.
Patterson walked one and struck out 12.
He got seven Claremont players on strikes at least once, and Garrett needed just 84 pitches to write his name into the record books.
Patterson finished making history in the strongest possible way, as the Bonita senior struck out the side in the top of the seventh inning.
So far, he’s 3-1 with a 1.97 ERA.
Patterson has walked seven and struck out 39 in 32 innings pitched.
At the plate, he’s batting .270 with 11 hits, five runs, six RBIs and a double.
