Avery Truesdale’s 2-Run Double in Ninth Leads Arcadia to 3-1 Victory at Burroughs; Apaches Improve to 10-0 in Pacific League Games

Arcadia remains the team to beat if you want to win a Pacific League championship.

The Apaches took a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the seventh at Burroughs.

The Bears would tie the game at 1-1 when Lucas Beltran had an RBI ground out.

Two innings later, however, Arcadia scored twice and claimed a 3-1 victory in nine innings.

Avery Truesdale played hero with a two-run two-out double that scored Devon Eskridge and Christian Garcia.

Sebastian Zamora got the loss after allowing two runs on one hit and six walks over four innings.

Truesdale went 3-for-5 and drove in each of the Apaches three runs.

Fernando Palencia walked, singled, doubled and scored.

Garcia walked twice, singled and scored.

Eskridge walked and scored.

Gabriel Lopez went the first six-plus for Arcadia and was charged with one run on three hits.

Lopez issued just one walk and struck out 10.

Palencia got the final nine outs to secure the victory.

He did not allow a hit, walked three and fanned two Burroughs batters.

Roberto Castaneda had two of the Bears three hits and Zamora walked and singled.
