Baseball:
Etiwanda and Nico Neri won a pitcher’s duel on Wednesday.
Neri tossed a five-hit shutout in the Eagles 1-0 victory over San Dimas.
The game was scoreless into the bottom of the seventh when Jaeden Toki doubled in Tyler Shigenaka for the walk-off win.
Neri didn’t issue a walk and struck out one.
Landon White, Jude Favela and Vaughn Coleman had one hit apiece to account for the SDHS offense.
Favela was the tough-luck loser, going 6 1/3 innings, and allowing the one run on three hits.
He walked two and struck out five EHS batters.
Toki had two of Etiwanda’s three hits and had the lone RBI.
Parker Sobiesiak walked and had the other Eagles base hit.
