Softball:
Ariel Fierro did everything within her power to keep Northview atop the Valle Vista League standings on Tuesday.
Fierro went the distance in the circle.
She tossed a four-hit shutout in a 4-0 victory over San Dimas.
Fierro walked two and struck out seven SDHS batters.
At the plate, Fierro hit a solo home run.
Jasmine Marquez, Maya Medina, Harmony Torrez and Jenna Santelian had one hit apiece for the Saints.
Kaitlyn Stoffer got the loss after allowing four runs on six hits over six innings.
She walked two and fanned three Northview batters.
Amber Rodriguez singled, doubled, scored and had one RBI.
Victoria Roman had an RBI double.
Caitlyn Wilson singled and scored.
Breyawna Tucker walked twice and scored.
Isabella Ochoa had an RBI base hit.
Up next: NHS and SDHS will both be in action tomorrow (Thursday).
The Vikings travel to Charter Oak, and the Saints host Diamond Ranch.
