Bonita Offense Pounds Out 13 Hits in 9-6 Palomares League Victory at Claremont; Jared Brunk Drives in Four Runs

Baseball:

Bonita held its spot atop the Palomares League standings with Glendora and Ayala.

The Bearcats defeated their host from Claremont, 9-6, on Tuesday afternoon.

Justin Santiago got the win despite allowing six runs (four earned) on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings.

Santiago walked five and fanned four CHS batters.

Wyatt Green went 2-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs.

Jack Grillo had a pair of singles and scored.

Reed Miller and Justin Gonzalez walked, singled and scored one run apiece.

Izaiah Camacho singled and scored.

Ramzey Farah walked, singled, scored and had one RBI.

Jacob Walters and Ben Gallegos had one single apiece for CHS.

Bonita got five runs on eight hits over 2 1/3 innings off Thomas Plotkin.

He walked five and struck out one.

Ryan Dorman was roughed up for four runs (two earned) on five hits over 4 2/3 innings.

Dorman walked three and fanned a pair of Bearcats.

Bonita got five runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed on Tuesday.

Jared Brunk walked, doubled and drove in four runs.

Colton Perez went 2-for-4 and scored two runs.

Andrew Sanchez walked, singled twice, had an RBI and scored two runs.

Bryan Bradshaw and Diego Vazquez singled and scored one run apiece.

Garrett Patterson went 3-for-4 and scored.

Spencer Savage singled and drove in a pair of runs.

Austin Owens walked and had a pair of singles.

Tyler Holley walked and scored.
