The Bonita senior tossed a five-hit shutout in a 2-0 victory over Santiago.
Patterson didn’t issue a walk and struck out eight.
Sixty-five of his 95 pitches went for strikes.
Jesse Kneip singled and doubled for Santiago.
Barrett Ronson doubled, while Austin Gamell and Logan Clear had one single each.
Nick Lewis was saddled with the loss.
Lewis went the distance as well, and surrendered two runs on seven hits.
He walked one and struck out eight BHS batters.
Bryan Bradshaw went 2-for-4 and scored.
