Two days after dropping its first Baseline League game in 2023, Etiwanda defeated Rancho Cucamonga, 6-1, on Friday.
The win secures a series victory over the Cougars, 2-1.
Dylan Goff went six innings and allowed an unearned run on seven hits.
Goff didn’t issue a walk and struck out five.
Christian Eaton got the final three outs for the Eagles.
Owen Dunn doubled and scored.
Jacob Peyton had two singles.
Ruben Jurado, Drew Copelan, Joshua Almeda and Brock Foulds had one hit apiece.
Dylan Escobar got the loss after allowing two runs on three hits over 4 2/3 innings.
He walked two and fanned four.
EHS got four runs (two earned) on two hits and three walks off Jonathan Manuel over his one inning of work.
Parker Sobiesiak tripled and scored.
Chris Montes de Oca singled, scored and had a pair of RBIs.
Austen Roellig went 2-for-3 with a walk, run and one RBI.
Brady Ebel doubled and drove in two.
Tyler Shigenaka walked, singled and had a sac fly.
Blake Torres and Luke Mendoza walked and scored one run apiece.
Anthony Huezo walked and singled.
Up next: Etiwanda will host Upland on Saturday at 11 am to finish their three-game set with the Highlanders.
