College Baseball:
Mt. SAC claimed its first SCC series of the 2023 season.
And it just so happened to be a sweep.
The Mounties crushed LA Harbor, 19-2, on Saturday.
MSAC out-hit their visitors, 22-7.
Fourteen separate Mt. SAC players had at least one hit in the win.
Sam Silversmith went six innings and allowed one run on five hits.
Silversmith earned his first win of the season, walking two and striking out three.
Kent Johnson walked, tripled, scored and had an RBI.
Joey McCormack walked, singled and drove in a run.
Gabriel Courtright got the loss after allowing eight runs (six earned) on nine hits over his 3 1/3 innings.
He walked one and struck out two Mounties batters.
Joey Rossetti went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs and an RBI.
Gibby Morales singled and hit a three-run HR.
Blake Hagerty walked, doubled twice, scored and drove in three runs.
CJ Ontiveros walked twice, doubled and scored two runs.
Andres Mitat doubled, scored and had two RBIs.
Damien Delgadillo had an RBI double and scored two runs.
Travis Hobbensiefken went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs.
Elijah Pelayo singled twice, scored and had an RBI.
Joel Quemada went 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs.
