College Baseball:
Make it 13 consecutive wins for Chaffey College.
The Panthers outlasted Desert, 14-8, on Saturday.
Chaffey and Desert combined for 22 runs, 21 hits and five errors.
And that included nine hits of the extra-base variety.
Donovann Jackson (4-1) got the win after going five innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits.
Jackson issued one walk and struck out a pair.
Antonio Crews singled, doubled, homered, scored twice and had two RBIs.
Jacob Mejia walked and had an RBI triple.
Jason Leon singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in one run.
Abraham Hernandez went 2-for-4, with an RBI and run.
Kenny Keller got lit up by the Chaffey offense.
Keller went three innings and allowed 10 runs on seven hits, including three home runs.
He walked three and struck out five.
Austin Easter tripled, homered, scored twice and had three RBIs.
Aaron Whobrey had a two-run inside-the-park home run.
Matt Chavez hit a two-run HR, and had one RBI on both a sac fly and ground out.
Jacob Billings walked, singled and scored a pair of runs.
Michael Woodward walked twice, had two singles, a run and RBI.
Steven Mara walked, singled, had an RBI and scored two runs.
Eric Valdivia went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run.
Clay Porter walked three times and scored.
Zach Kim walked and scored.
Up next: Chaffey will host SBVC on Tuesday at 2:30.
