Nicolas Neri Goes Distance, Allowing Unearned Run & Striking Four in Etiwanda’s 2-1 Baseline League Victory Over Chino Hills

Etiwanda won its fifth consecutive (fourth Baseline League) game on Tuesday.

Nicolas Neri went the distance in the Eagles’ 2-1 victory over Chino Hills.

Neri surrendered just one unearned run on three hits.

He issued three walks and struck out four.

Jackson Gray had two of the Huskies three hits and scored their run, and Tyler Stull had the other.

Zane Poulter got the loss after allowing two runs on four hits over four innings.

Poulter walked two and struck out six EHS batters.

Austen Roellig walked, singled, doubled and scored both runs for the Eagles.

Brady Ebel had an RBI single in the fifth.

Tyler McEvoy’s RBI single in the bottom of the first gave Etiwanda a 1-0 lead.

Up next: Etiwanda will host Upland on Friday, and then the Eagles face Chino Hills on Saturday morning at 11 at Quakes Stadium.
