San Marino Defeats First-Place South Pasadena, 7-2, to Earn First RHL Victory of Season; Tomas Bilvado Goes Distance & Allows 2 Unearned Runs

Baseball:

San Marino picked up its first Rio Hondo League victory of the year.

And it was a big one.

The Titans knocked off first-place South Pasadena, 7-2, behind Tomas Bilvado.

Bilvado went the distance to earn the win.

He surrendered two unearned runs on five hits.

Bilvado walked two and fanned four South Pasadena batters.

He needed 92 pitches to finish what he started and threw 58 strikes.

Nolan Adams singled and drove in a run for the Tigers.

Ivan Becerra and Jason Yipp had two hits apiece for South Pasadena.

Ben Petrillo got the loss after allowing five runs on two hits over his three innings of work.

Petrillo walked two and fanned four Titans’ batters.

Truman Koch had two singles and drove in a pair of runs.

Ryan Park walked, scored and had an RBI.

Tyler Giddings walked, singled and scored.

Coleman Morning was hit by pitch, singled twice and scored.

Sid Danenhauer walked singled and scored twice.

Michael Yessaian walked, singled, scored and had an RBI.

Kyle Lai walked and scored.
