Patick Throws 4-Hit Shutout & Strikes Out 10 in 4-0 Victory Over No. 1 Ranked (D-2) Gahr at Perfect Game Tourney

Sterling Patick sure lived up to his first name on Thursday.

The Huskies lefty shut out the current No. 1 ranked team in the latest CIF-SS Division 2 poll.

In a battle of the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in D-2, South Hills defeated Gahr, 4-0, at the Perfect Game Tournament in Orange County.

Patick scattered four hits, didn’t issue a walk and struck out 10 Gladiators’ batters.

Of Patick’s 97 pitches, 67 went for strikes.

Kyle Panganiban, Bryce Morrison, Cristian Rodriguez and Alahni Salcedo had one hit apiece for Gahr.

Noah Andrunas got the loss, allowing two runs on four hits over his 4 2/3 innings.

He walked two and fanned seven SHHS batters.

The Huskies got a pair of unearned runs off Andres Gonzalez on three hits.

Matt Moreno tripled, scored and had an RBI.

Marcos Rosales tripled for the second consecutive game and scored.

Steven Jimenez went 2-for-2 with a walk, RBI and run scored.

Noah Malone had a pair of singles.

Paul Vazquez singled in a run.

Dom Prieto walked and scored.

Up next: South Hills will battle Tesoro today (Friday) at 4.
