Baseball:
Dylan Goff has picked up from where he left off in 2022.
Goff went six shutout innings and allowed just four hits in Wednesday’s 4-0 victory over Northview.
Goff didn’t issue a walk and struck out nine NHS batters.
Of his 84 pitches, Goff threw 61 strikes.
Nicolas Neri went the seventh for EHS, and he struck out one.
Joey Alcon contributed half of NHS’ four hits, and Nathan Tome and Josh Sanchez had one single apiece.
Kiki Villegas got the loss for Northview.
Villegas went five innings and allowed four runs on eight hits.
He issued one walk and struck out three Eagles’ batters.
Etiwanda got three first-inning runs after Villegas got the first two batters.
Anthony Huezo tripled and scored the game’s first run on Mike Harrison’s double.
Huezo finished 2-for-3, with an RBI and run.
Parker Sobiesiak doubled in Harrison in the first inning.
Tyler McEvoy singled, doubled and scored.
Brady Ebel doubled and scored.
