Girls Athlete of the Week:
In 2022, Brooklyn Shroyer led Bonita to a CIF-SS Division 3 championship.
This year, the Bearcats are 4-0 in games Shroyer has been in the circle.
And that includes Friday’s 10-0, mercy-rule victory over crosstown rival, San Dimas.
Shroyer went all five innings and allowed just one hit.
She didn’t issue a walk and got 11 of her 15 outs via strikeout.
Thus far, Shroyer is 4-0 with a 1.22 ERA.
She’s walked three and fanned 45 batters in 23 innings.
Up next: BHS travels to Etiwanda on Monday afternoon.
And on Tuesday, the Bearcats open Palomares League play at Ayala.
