Girls Hoops:
The La Salle girls victory tour continued on Tuesday night.
The Lancers outlasted visiting Rancho Bernardo, 56-45, in the first round of the CIF State Division 2 playoffs.
La Salle used an 18-7 run in the fourth quarter to pull away.
Audrey Chen had a game-high 21 points.
Chen started and finished strong.
In the first quarter, she scored 10 of La Salle’s 19 points, and had a team-high six fourth-quarter points.
Casey Higgins chipped in with 11 points and Ellie Chen had nine.
Audrey (2) and Ellie (1) combined for La Salle’s three 3-pointers.
Marian Macatula had a game-high 19 points for Rancho Bernardo.
Up next: The Lancers host San Juan Hills on Thursday night.
The Stallions (26-6) defeated Mater Dei Catholic, 60-49, on Tuesday.
