Girls Basketball:
Flintridge Prep is having one of the greatest seasons in program history.
The Wolves earned a spot in the CIF-SS Division 3AA title game next week thanks to a 68-53 victory at El Dorado.
Prep led by 10 at the break, and went on an 18-12, fourth-quarter run, to close out the Golden Hawks.
Ashley Chea (24) and Maddie Smith (20) combined to score 44 of the Wolves’ 68 points.
Chea hit three 3’s, and tallied nine rebounds and nine assists.
Smith added seven rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Avery Shirling had a huge night, scoring 33 points for El Dorado.
Bianca Carter chipped in with 12 in a losing cause.
Flintridge Prep got eight points from Gigi Mastras, six from Kassidy Huie and Akemi Fu chipped in with five points.
Up next: The Wolves will take on Los Osos next weekend in a battle of No. 1 (LOHS) vs No. 2 (FP).
The Grizzlies (24-4) defeated Moreno Valley, 61-52, on Saturday.
