Girls Soccer:
Heading into the final week of the regular season, Charter Oak trailed first-place San Dimas by two games in the Valle Vista League standings.
It was almost a foregone conclusion that SDHS would claim another VVL title.
But on Tuesday, Covina defeated the Saints, 1-0, while COHS dominated West Covina, 7-2, to pull to within one-game of San Dimas.
Fast forward 48 hours, and the Chargers are the Valle Vista League co-champs thanks to a 1-0 victory at SDHS.
Madeline Traylor scored a first-half goal and the COHS defense and goalie would make that stand up.
Jadyn Sabatino had five saves in goal for the Chargers.
