Girls Basketball:
La Salle is one win from claiming the Del Rey League’s No. 2 seed.
On Tuesday, the Lancers cruised to a 56-30 victory at Serra.
With one to go, La Salle trails Bishop Montgomery by one game.
And the Knights host the the 2-21 Serra Cavaliers.
As far as the Lancers went, Kaden Cortes led the way with 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.
Audrey Chen had 10 points and both Reese Wong and Casey Higgins had eight points in Tuesday’s road win.
Along with Cortes, Wong hit two 3-pointers of her own.
Nasia Thompson hit three 3-pointers, and had a game-high 18 points for Serra.
Up next: La Salle will host St. Anthony in Thursday’s regular season finale.
La Salle defeated the Saints just over two weeks ago in Long Beach by one point in overtime.
The tip is set for 7.
