Girls Soccer:
Charter Oak thumped visiting West Covina, 7-2, in Tuesday’s Valle Vista League showdown.
The Chargers scored three times in the first half and got four more in the second.
Alyssa Mireles scored twice.
Madeline Traylor scored once and assisted on two others.
Avery Zernickow, Alyssa Harms and Mya Chaparro scored one goal each.
Joseline Murillo had one goal and four assists and Jaqueline Murillo had one assist.
Jadyn Sabatino had three saves in goal.
Up next: The Chargers travel to first-place San Dimas (
Thanks to Covina’s 1-0 victory on Tuesday, Charter Oak could claim its share of the VVL with a victory at SDHS.
