Girls Basketball:
Rio Hondo Prep handed the defending Prep League champions their first home loss in league play.
The Kares took a 12-point lead into the break and went on to claim a 49-42 victory at Providence.
The win pulls RHP to within one-half a game behind the second-place Pioneers as they head into the final week of the regular season.
Emma Carson had a game-high 18 points, and made 6-of-7 from the free-throw line.
Elle Curtis and Tara Riley chipped in with 10 points apiece for the Kares.
Lia Krumian led Providence with 17 points, and that included a pair of 3-pointers.
