If Maranatha holds on and claims the Olympic League championship, the Minutemen will certainly look back on this past week as a defining moment on their title run.
MHS went 3-0 in Olympic League games, including wins over Heritage Christian, Village Christian and Valley Christian, respectively.
And no one played a bigger role than junior striker, George Peterson.
On Tuesday, Peterson scored three goals and assisted on another in a 5-0 victory over Heritage Christian.
One day later, the junior scored once and had an assist, as MHS picked up a 5-0 victory over Village Christian.
And to close out the week, Maranatha secured its first win over Valley Christian in five years.
With three league games to play in the regular season, MHS is in sole possession of first place in the Olympic League.
Peterson scored twice in the victory over the Defenders.
